Brand identity, illustration and book design for Row DTLA – a 30-acre industrial complex that opened in Summer 2016. Located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, the redevelopment is now home to expansive retail, hospitality, creative offices and public spaces.
As a literal and metaphoric interpretation of its ground-breaking impact, the identity encompasses the grandiose nature of the development’s work, with a multi-dimensional identity evocative of depth and weight. Referencing Row DTLA’s varying levels, multi-use spaces and ‘work meets play’ offering, a set of brand illustrations was also developed for its 80-page brand book, as an artful abstraction of the space.
